KJWW’s Medical Equipment Solutions department provides varied and comprehensive solutions to healthcare institutions in the area of medical technology. The project types include medical equipment planning services during new hospital construction or program expansion, strategic plans for equipment acquisition, emerging technology reports, five-year equipment replacement plans, medical equipment maintenance programs, and investigation of medical equipment-related patient incidents.
In addition to the above, this department provides extensive support internally to other disciplines in their design process on anything related to medical technology. The projects are handled by qualified clinical engineers having hospital-based experience.

Training |
Clinical engineers at KJWW complete a formal orientation and education program shortly after starting with the company. The training program is conducted by fellow clinical engineers and other department personnel to provide instruction on our design methods, technical considerations, company procedures and services. All entry-level clinical engineers are assigned to a more experienced engineer for on-the-job training. We provide opportunities to visit hospitals, and access to ECRI Institute’s on-line Select Plus and HTAIS modules to enable employees to stay current with the latest clinical workflows, procedures and technology.
Training continues throughout the engineer's career at KJWW. In-house seminars cover new products, design procedures and project management. Clinical engineers attend professional seminars and are encouraged to be active in technical societies.
