Early integration key to achieving aesthetics

Lighting ranges from the purely functional to the high-impact aesthetic. It can be a healing element, an inspiring comfort and an energy-efficiency issue. KJWW’s team of lighting designers and electrical engineers can develop a lighting plan for your building that creates the right environment and fits into your budget. They will work to make your building more secure, more efficient and more attractive—all with the flip of a switch.

Our certified lighting consultants understand the technical and decorative aspects of light as a design tool.  They discuss the interaction of light and materials with architects and building owners throughout the design of a project.  Using sparkle and line, highlights and shadows, color and pattern, they elevate the human experience of a space.  And always, they focus on energy efficiency.

Our lighting designers collaborate early in a project to include mounting details, controls, emergency lighting, energy codes and life safety codes into a plan, instead of adding on code-required elements after lighting design intent is complete.  Additionally, our team can design custom luminaires to minimize lamp types and maximize maintainability.

We are specifically interested in optimizing our designs for human comfort and health.  We incorporate contemporary subjects of study such as designing for circadian rhythms, productivity and healing.
